Overview

I am an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a triple Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor for 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, and 2007 for all versions of the software (Simple Start, Pro, Premier including the Contractor, NonProfit, Retail, and Manufacturing and Wholesaling versions, Online, and Mac) as well as Intuit's Point of Sale (12, 10.0, 8.0, and 6.0), Online 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, and Enterprise software (17.0, 15.0, 11.0, 9.0, and 7.0), advanced Quicken user, and the former "COO" for a high end architectural firm. In 2017, 2016, 2015, and 2014, Insightful Accountant named me one of the top 100 ProAdvisors in the US. I also work with payroll, inventory, troubleshooting, large files, and network issues. I am also an Intuit Premier Reseller and Intuit Solution Provider of QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions and other Intuit software, Point of Sale and hardware for POS, and services such as third party add-ons, payroll, and credit card processing which is great for a business that is starting up and needs the software, a new business setup, payroll, and credit card processing. If you have or are thinking of getting Enterprise, let me save you up to 20% by renewing or ordering through me. I make house calls in my "gas-guzzling" Prius to provide customized, in-person, & one-on-one training at your place, tutoring, classes, instruction, seminars, help, and private lessons at your pace and skill level based on what you know (or don't) at your office, my place, or a quiet coffee or tea shop in Greater Seattle or elsewhere by arrangement. Why lose billable hours and fight traffic and our lovely weather to attend a class and go at the slowest person's pace (yawn) when I will come to you? And do you really want to ask questions pertaining to your business or personal affairs in front of strangers? Learn how to effectively use your accounting, bookkeeping or financial management software to properly set up and maintain your financial records so you can fish (or make Tofu if you are a vegan) for yourself, save on accountant's fees, stop worrying, and sleep better at night. There is nothing more fun than watching someone's eyes light up as they gain the self-confidence by making their financial or accounting software work for them instead of the other way around and learn how to produce financial reports that tell them how their business or investment and retirement plans are really doing. I also support my client's use of MS Word and Excel with the QuickBooks program and fix their network mistakes that are preventing the use of their QuickBooks program in a networked environment. A very common one is the file is slow to open. Quicken, just so you know, isn't designed to be used in a networked environment. Invest in me so you don't make the mistakes several of my small business clients made by (1) creating their chart of accounts for a C corporation when they were a LLC which screwed up their tax accounting; (2) setting up their credit card as an expense account instead of as a credit card; (3) setting up their vendors as customers and vice versa; (4) recording all their payments individually instead of matching them up with the actual bank deposit; and (5) not updating their version of the program. Do you need someone to set up or check your business or start up's chart of accounts, financial records, or books? Have you slowly come to the realization that you don't know how to use your accounting software and it is affecting your bottom line? Has your company grown to the point where it would be nice to have someone come in on a regular basis to train, tutor, and instruct you and your staff in QuickBooks and help them convert from Peachtree®, or Microsoft Small Business Accounting or Quicken® to do your bookkeeping and financial reports and let you make more money by doing what you really enjoy doing? Or would you rather sit in the dark? Well, let me come to you and teach you what you need to know about QuickBooks or Quicken. You’ve hired an attorney, accountant, insurance broker, business coach, SEO expert, marketing pro, and others to help you start and manage your business or a financial planner to help you plan for your future. Shouldn’t you hire someone to teach you how to effectively use the financial management, bookkeeping, and accounting software that you’ll be relying on to discover how well you are (or aren’t) doing? As someone who has been a bookeeper and ran the day to day aspects of a medium sized business, I can help you learn to solve some of the following common accounting and bookkeeping software issues and problems. My company is a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business. I am a member of, the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program, the Intuit (the folks who make TurboTax, Quicken, and QuickBooks (not Quick Books) to name a few products) Accountant's, TurboTax, and Quicken Inner Circle which advises the company on ways to improve their products (I found a bug in an older version of QuickBooks Pro and Premier and suggested a fix) and make them more consumer friendly (gasp!). I am also a member of the Sage Accountants Network which supports Peachtree and Simply Accounting and was a member of the Microsoft Professional Accountants' Network which helped users with Microsoft Office Accounting 2007, 2008 or 2009 (I still have the software). I was the subject of an article "Spotlight on a QuickBooks Instructor: Teaching Small Businesses to Fish" on the TeachStreet Blog and have lectured at one start up conference and one small business conference. I am available evenings and weekends if you work during the day as I remember what it is like to have a day job while trying to get a business off the ground. I am willing to travel throughout the Western Washington as that is what good customer service is all about. Mileage, ferry tolls, road tolls, travel time depending on where you live from me, and other charges may be charged.
